For more than 156 years Morehouse has produced some of the most impactful and distinguished world leaders in business, government, education, entertainment, medicine, finance, and the law. About the Position: Morehouse College is looking to expand their marketing team in the Office of Strategic Marketing, Communications, and Admissions (OSMCA) division. The OSMCA is in search of a Graphic Designer (GD) with an impeccable creative vision and exceptional graphic design, specifically for print and presentation mediums. This person will thrive in creating compelling and effective print materials such as flyers, brochures, pamphlets, programs, booklets, signage, PowerPoint templates, and more that produce intended results for admissions, marketing, events, and other Morehouse departments as needed. The GD must understand the importance, relevance and responsibility of Morehouse College in the academic, political, and social landscape to create marketing materials that translate to key stakeholder audiences, internally and externally. This person must have experience differentiating an organization through graphic design as well as elevating a brand to new heights. The GD will create all materials within Morehouse College brand and style guidelines. The GD will report to the Associate Director of Marketing Content. Required Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
  • A diverse portfolio of work required for application.
  • Demonstrated personal and/or professional understanding of the culture, value and impact of Morehouse College and HBCUs at large. This is purpose-driven work.
  • Entrepreneurial work ethic/execution balanced with a creative vision and impeccable design skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Cultural competency is a must.
  • Collaborative team player who accepts feedback while providing creative perspective/insight.
  • Exceptional color grading skills.
  • Proficient understanding of print and digital media production processes.
  • Proficient experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Video Editing Experience (Final cut pro, Adobe premiere, etc.) a plus.

  • Project manage and execute various graphic design projects including but not limited to logo/brand identity, posters, signage, event graphics, and more.
  • Develop new Morehouse College PowerPoint templates for internal and external uses.
  • Review and work with the Brand Marketing leadership to refresh and uphold Morehouse College brand and style guidelines.
  • Create engaging, creative print materials that effectively represent the Morehouse brand.
  • Copy writing experience a plus.
  • Be involved and participate with team discussions about campaigns and strategies.
  • Assist content team with graphic design tasks as needed.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work with various departments and colleagues throughout the College.
  • Able to take direction and constructive feedback from upper management.
  • Able to work as a team and individually.
