Location: Charlotte, NC Salary: $69.00 USD Hourly - $74.00 USD Hourly Description: Senior Software Engineer, Containerization (Ab Initio / Kubernetes / Data Platform) Location: Charlotte, NC (300 S Brevard St) Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite Employment Type: Contract (12 months, with potential to extend or convert to full-time) Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Preferred Qualifications Experience with Ab Initio or similar ETL/data integration platforms Experience designing and operating large-scale data platforms or distributed systems Experience with enterprise data stores (e.g., MongoDB, Teradata) Experience in private cloud or hybrid cloud environments Familiarity with enterprise deployment frameworks and automation tooling Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKAD), Docker, or cloud platforms Experience in financial services environments About the Job As a Senior Containerization Engineer, you will help modernize a large-scale enterprise ETL platform by transitioning legacy VM-based systems into a containerized, cloud-ready architecture. You will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable deployment solutions for Ab Initio within a Kubernetes/OpenShift environment. This role focuses on improving deployment efficiency, scalability, and automation across the platform while supporting critical data movement across the organization.
