Job Description

Responsible for positive guest interactions while greeting and escorting guests to tables in a friendly and efficient manner. Schedules dining reservations and arranges special services for diners. Create and support an environment of “Teamwork” by helping all fellow employees and/or guests. Has an understanding and knowledge of the restaurant/bar industry. Possess safety, sanitation, adaptability and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm and friendly attitude.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant's reservation system.
• Seat guests according to server sections and table availability.
• Answer phone calls and assist with reservation inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting entrance and host stand.
• Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed.
• Coordinate with servers and management to ensure smooth guest flow.
• Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
