Location : This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to One Energy Plaza located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).  

General Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Principal (Prin) Program Manager will lead the integration of enterprise risk management, foresight thinking, and data analytics to help the organization anticipate disruption, evaluate emerging risks, and build an ultra-resilient enterprise. This role serves as the subject matter expert for traditional risk management while applying future-focused scenario planning, horizon scanning, and data-driven modeling to identify signals of change, quantify risk exposure, and inform executive decision-making.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive scenario development workshops and war-gaming exercises to stress-test strategies against plausible future states.
  • Synthesize foresight outputs into implications and actionable insights for leadership.
  • Identify and operationalize relevant data sources to enhance early warning systems and risk-sensing capabilities.
  • Develop and execute risk management strategies that align with and support the overall company strategy.
  • Lead assessments of strategic, emerging, and disruptive risks, including technology, market, regulatory, environmental, and geopolitical trends and signals.
  • Advise senior leaders on enterprise-level risks and forward-looking implications.
  • Prepare standard work products and processes that support the integration of ERM, foresight thinking, and data analytics.
  • Conduct horizon scanning, trend analysis, and weak-signal detection to anticipate shifts three (3) to ten (10)+ years into the future.
  • Develop risk narratives, heat maps, futures-thinking maps, dashboards, and executive insights that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Perform other essential duties as assigned or as necessary.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with seven (7) or more years of risk management or related experience
    • [OR] Associate’s degree with nine (9) or more years of risk management or related experience
    • [OR] High School Diploma/GED with 11 (eleven) or more years of risk management or related experience

Preferred Certifications

  • RIMS-CRMP, CRM, or IRM qualifications, PMI-RPM, CRISC or ISC2
