The Source Alliance, a leader in Staffing and Recruiting, is assisting our client for a direct hire Senior Material Scientist or Principal Scientist. This role is on site in Hebron, KY ( Greater Cincinnati Area). Relocation is available for the right candidate, however the candidate must be located in the Contiguous U.S. Must be US Authorized.

We are seeking an profound and innovative Materials Scientist specialized, colloidal rheology and molecular dynamics. Need to have a sound background and experience in rheology of colloidal systems containing emulsions, polymers at high concentrations. Someone that has led research in conjunction with Engineers in designing and optimizing the rheology of feed slurries and its atomization. This role will dive into the molecular structures of (food) polymer molecular structures, their molecular dynamics, also diffusion of small molecule in these polymer matrices. Exposure or knowledge of artificial intelligence and molecule dynamics simulation is preferred. This position will be in charge to research and innovate the NextGen of our Low Temperature Spray Drying formulation and process, apply the platform technology to sensitive ingredients beyond flavors, for instance nutrients, probiotics, enzymes, active pharmaceutical ingredients, coffee, and possibly industrial actives, as well as delivering on-demand solutions to address customer needs.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct profound literature search

· Propose project and research proposals

· Lead and participate research & technology development with science excellence

· Collaborate with the process and other functions to ensure the practicality of the technologies.

· Communicate project and values to stakeholders and external partners.

· Foster a culture of safety and quality by maintaining a compliant, well-organized lab environment and adhering to food safety standards in all development activities.

Required Skills and Persona:

· Aspired to innovate.

· Expertise in materials science colloidal rheology, interface science, and molecular dynamics

· Demonstrated capability in conducting experimental, theoretical, and simulation research.

· Proven ability to solve complex technical problems, troubleshoot formulation challenges, and drive projects forward.

· Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, food engineering principles, and food chemistry.

· Efficient communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present technical findings and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Highly organized with a proven track record in project management, able to balance multiple priorities effectively.

Education & Experience:

· PhD in (Food) Materials Science, or equivalent

· Optionally, proficient chemistry in food ingredients, flavors, and interactions

· Strong knowledge of food ingredients used as emulsifiers and carrier materials.

· Experience in delivery systems

· Comprehension on commercial value propositions
