Job Description

A private household is seeking an experienced, highly professional Private Chef to manage all culinary operations within a fully staffed residence. This role requires a proactive, adaptable individual capable of delivering high-quality, health-conscious meals while maintaining absolute discretion and seamless collaboration with household staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and present a variety of high-quality meals tailored to the preferences and dietary requirements of the principals
  • Develop diverse, nutritionally balanced menus across multiple cuisines
  • Accommodate specific dietary needs, including allergies, restrictions, and lifestyle-based diets
  • Oversee all kitchen operations including organization, cleanliness, and food safety compliance
  • Source premium ingredients and manage relationships with suppliers and vendors
  • Maintain accurate inventory of pantry, refrigeration, and specialty items
  • Manage and adhere to an allocated household food budget
  • Coordinate meal service for both daily living and small-scale entertaining
  • Support the planning and execution of private events and occasional gatherings
  • Collaborate effectively with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Travel with the family or support off-site requirements as needed
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times

Work Schedule

  • Flexibility is essential; schedule will vary based on household needs and seasonal changes
  • Core service typically includes weekday meal preparation (e.g. breakfast and dinner)
  • Additional meals, snacks, and ad hoc requests as required
  • Availability for weekends, public holidays, and pre-scheduled events

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience as a Private Chef or within high-end hospitality environments
  • Strong knowledge of global cuisines, nutrition, and dietary planning
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and within a household team environment
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and accustomed to working in private homes
  • Comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving environment with changing priorities
